During
the later Lustre Pottery years Danka resumed printmaking, producing
several Limited Editions for Chelsea Art Works and Christies Contemporary
Art. In 1993 for her exhibition at Gallery Tresco she radically changed
her way of working and started using soft pastels to create individual
pictures. The qualities of this medium: vibrancy of colour, delicate
surface and blended tones enabled her to develop the strong palette
for which she has become known and is so characteristic of recent work.
Danka
is membership secretary for the Cornwall Ceramics and Glass Group and
a member of FSB.
